Western Cordillera Part 2
Western Cordilleran vegetation varies enormously from one side of a mountain to another. Some sides of a mountain get a lot of water and some don't!
Did you know?
On the most, windward slopes of the mountain. There are trees like the Douglas Fir, western hemlock, and western red cedar.
2. How can you remember what this tree looks like and it's name?
I thing this tree is very different. And I thing this tree is short.

I thing this trees is different and it has many nuts and it is high.And Leaves,Cones,Bark.

The Canadian Shield

The next geographical region you will learn about is the Canadian Shield. This lesson should be finished in two computer classes.
The Canadian Shield is more than 2 billion years old. It consists of great volcanic mountains that were leveled by millions of years of erosion. It is the geographic foundation of Canada covering more than half of its surface area.
1. Find a map of this region. Which provinces are in this region? (IF you don't know what your map is telling you, DO NOT WRITE I DONT KNOW! ASK me or a friend!)
2. Translate erosion. What is erosion? Explain in your own words.The climate of this region varies greatly. There are colder winters in the north.

The climate of the Interior Plains is a continental climate. This means the temperature of this region is affected by this region's location in the heart or center of the continent.
